Our client is a Hong Kong listed/sizable organization and they are seeking a high calibre candidate to lead their sourcing/procurement team based in Shanghai covering China market

Responsibilities

• This is a leadership role with the expectation of strong performance management 

• Identify and lead strategic sourcing projects, ensuring value for money in the fulfillment of business requirements.

• Engage and effectively manage senior stakeholders across the organization, ensuring achievement of agreed business objectives and timelines

• Aggregate and coordinate expenditure across the organization, work closely with senior business users, and negotiate innovative and aggressive commercial terms, the role will consistently deliver sustainable saves/value to the organization

• Identify potential supply related risks with mitigation plan and contribute to procurement control framework

• Develop and manage supplier relationships with the aim of constantly improving of service quality and total cost ownership

• Roll-out standard group policy, procedures, systems and ensure compliance across the organization

• Take responsibility for specific procurement projects or initiatives as assigned

• Occasionally travel is required

 Requirements

• Bachelor degree, MBA/Post graduate degree is a plus 

• Certified Procurement professional such as CPSM or CIPS is preferred

• Minimum of 10 years of strategic sourcing/procurement experience

• Experience in leading and developing a diverse and distributed team

• Experience in managing large complex sourcing projects and change initiatives 

• Proven experience providing leadership to overcome challenges and lead without direct authority

• Solid knowledge and proven experience working with cross-functional teams 

• Good command of English and Putonghua

• Experience with various eProcurement tools will be advantageous
