Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the Account Project Management Lead, the individual will be responsible for the project management support of capital projects.
The role is based in Hong Kong. The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for providing support to Project Managers on larger projects, the personal oversight of smaller projects, and the co-ordination of project related processes and finances.
Responsibilities
- Provide timely and accurate project documentation and reporting including, but not limited to:
- Reviewing project purchase orders, invoices and change orders
- Reviewing project cash flows
- Coordinate with Client Accounts Payable and/or finance team;
- Support Project Managers to prepare capital expenditure budgets and forecasts;
- Proactively seek opportunities to assist the project team to provide superior client services;
- Ensure contracting process is followed; support the project management team to ensure work is not started without proper client authorization and documentation;
- Proactively provide all aspects of invoicing support to ensure that project managers are in compliance with the invoicing process;
- Assists in maintaining Project Schedules;
- Assist project team in keeping project files up to date and complete using the approved Client's filing system;
- Execute Project Closeout procedures ensuring all deadlines are met. Utilize the contract compliance check list to confirm all items are complete before submitting for final closure;
- Exhibit developing experience and competence in the ability to perform project management activities from project due diligence and planning through closure;
- Ensure a clear understanding cialis 20 of work requested/required deadlines. Communicate status and completion of assignment to requesting project manager;
- Execute complete and error free work assignments as directed;
- Track key milestone dates for multiple projects in clients database;
- Provide timely and accurate project documentation and reporting;
- Ability to access and use ALL project management systems of record including Client's Corporate Website;
- Ability to maintain data integrity for individual projects within the project tracking system; and
- General office duties as necessary.
Requirements
- Project management or related field experience or Bachelor degree in Construction Management, finance or related field;
- HKIS or similar qualification. A recently qualified Quantity Surveyor is preferred;
- Knowledge of basic business practice;
- Good team player, highly pro-active and with strong initiative;
- Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills;
- Proven record of excellent internal and external customer service;
- Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills with ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships at all cross boarder levels within the organization;
- Fluent in both written and spoken English and/ or Chinese; and
- Expert skills in all office software systems including MS Excel, Word, Project, Outlook, PowerPoint as well as Adobe Acrobat. Experience with Ariba will be an advantage.
